Tinton Falls:
A quiet residential community
The town is mostly residential, a diverse mix of single-family homes, some more than 100 years old, as well as town houses and condominiums built in the late 1980s. Some senior citizens choose to live in Seabrook Village, a continuing-care retirement community in a secluded yet accessible area of the southern portion of the borough.Tinton Falls is a wonderful place to call your hometown: good schools, a stable tax rate, excellent services and a true sense of community.
To keep that small-town feeling of community alive, the recreation department holds yearly Easter egg hunts, Halloween festivities, mother and son day trips, father and daughter dinners, and other events. At the borough's Hockhockson Park, Little League baseball games are held, along with other youth sports such as volleyball and soccer games.
One of the nicest libraries in the county is located in Tinton Falls, with decorations that change with the holidays and a sitting area around a fireplace, there is feeling of hometown quaintness in the library. But, as is the case at other members of the Monmouth County Library system, a modern touch -- computers -- allow people to find books and surf the Internet. But space is tight, with books piled on books. There are story hours for young children and special programs when space is available.
Tinton Falls, with its easy access to the parkway and Routes 34, 33 and 35, is just being discovered. High-tech companies and office projects are being developed nearby along Shafto Road. New construction is growing. It's a wonderful place to call home.
